Grey Power the Strongest Lobby Group for Senior Citizens

Since Grey Power's inception in the mid 1980's the society has won recognition as the "voice of the over 50s" and has successfully lobbied government and local authorities on issues threatening older peoples ability to continue to participate in their communities.

The aging of New Zealand's population will see people spending up to a quarter of their lives in retirement. Never before has there been so much insecurity over health, safety within ones's home and the cost of living.

It is becoming icreasingly evident that people over 50 need a united voice if their circumstances on reaching the age of retirement are not to be jeopardised.
