Seddon & Yealands Estate

Come with us today as we visit Seddon and the recently established Yealands Estate.

We leave Nelson mid-morning, stopping for a morning tea in Pelrous, before heading on to Blenheim for lunch. Having sated our appetites we make our way towards Seddon and the Yealands Winery. Here we will be given a guided tour of the Estate, including a full winery/sustainability tour, a vineyard/eco tour as well as complementary wine tasting.

We will start making tracks back to Nelson by mid-afternoon, aiming to have you home around 6pm.

Please note: The tour of Yealands Estate and the wine tasting are included in the price. Lunch is BYO or you can purchase something in Blenheim.

Midwinter Xmas Lunch

Beat the winter blues with a mid-winter Christmas lunch.

Today we are heading to the Clubs of Marlborough for a full, 3-course meal, including all the favourites (carved ham, trifle, steamed pudding etc). I guarantee* you won't need dinner tonight!

*I'm not actually guaranteeing this, as some people are big eaters… But it will be a great lunch!

TranzApline

Come and experience the majestic beauty of the TranzAlpine. You will travel from one coast of New Zealand to the other, where you will see the Canterbury Plains and farmlands, the spectacular gorges and river valleys of the Waimakariri River, the breathtaking views of the Southern Alps and the lush beach rain forest of the West Coast.

On the 4th we head from Nelson to Greymouth where we stop the night at the Kingsgate Hotel, where you will also be dining tonight. The following morning, after a full cooked breakfast, we head to Hokitika for some brief sightseeing before returning to Greymouth and boarding the TranzApline. Our driver will meet you at the end of the train journey in Christchurch, where we stop another night at the Elms Hotel. Dinner tonight will be at your discretion. On the final day, following a cooked breakfast, we head back to Nelson with stopping in Hanmer on the way to stretch the legs.

Package includes: pickup and drop-off from your door; 3-days coach transport; 2-nights accommodation, dinner in Greymouth, cooked breakfasts both mornings and of course a ticket for the TranzApline.

Andre Rieu

Andre Rieu is a world-renowned violinist, composer and conductor, and he's coming to New Zealand. Don't miss this chance to see him live in person! We depart Nelson on the 23rd of October, making our way to Christchurch where we check into the Elms Hotel. The following day we attend the show, where you'll be able to see everything from your Gold Reserve seats.

We then stay the night and begin making our way back to Nelson the following morning (the 25th).

Package includes: pickup and drop-off from your door; 3-days coach transport; 2-nights accommodation and Gold Tickets to the concert. Please note there are no meals included in this package. There is a restaurant on site at the Elms and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Xmas Tour 23rd December 2010 - 27th December 2010 $TBC

Currently I'm just looking for expressions of interest in a Christmas Tour. If there's enough interest I'll start making the arrangements. Please be aware that this is not a booking, I will send out a full itinerary (with the price) and take bookings from there. So long story short, you're not committed by showing interest.

The current plan is to head from Nelson to Christchurch on the 23rd, Christchurch to Tekapo on the 24th, Christmas Day we'd have either an Xmas Lunch or an Xmas Dinner in Tekapo and throw in a visit to Mt Cook for good measure (including Lake Pukaki, Lake Ohau and Twizel). On the 26th we'd head to Fairlie, Geraldine, Methven and finally stop the night in Arthurs Pass. The final day we will head onto the West Coast before making our way back to Nelson.
